Tanzania celebrates as UK Govt removes advisory against travel.

As of earlier this evening (Friday 7th) the FCDO no longer advises against travel to Tanzania (except the area close to the Tanzania/Mozambique border).

This means Travel insurance is now valid again

So Tanzania is encouraging tourists back to all safari destinations, the coastline and to Zanzibar.

AIRLINES
All major international airlines are now back on schedule, with all domestic airlines continuing to carry passengers across the country.

ACCOMMODATION
Lodges and camps on the Northern Circuit, Southern Parks and in the West, as well as those on the coast, are all fully functioning (in fact most didn't stop) so your clients can again enjoy the natural beauty of our amazing destination. Zanzibar remained largely unaffected, so its "business as usual" there.

His Excellency, Mbelwa Kairuki (UK High Commissioner for the United Republic of Tanzania) and Omar Daair OBE (Africa Director at FCDO) deserve much praise for their joint efforts to remove this advisory, at a time that was appropirate to all concerned. I am extremely proud to have played a part in those discussions.
